Katie Snow
I am a therapist licensed in the UK with over 4 years of professional work experience with the NHS and in private practice. As an integrative therapist I’m trained in the main disciplines of psychodynamic, Person Centred and CBT. I am also qualified in REBT and Psychoanalysis. I mainly use CBT & REBT as that has demonstrated many times over to be the most effective approach for working with anxiety.
My areas of expertise are in helping clients with anxiety, self-esteem and overcoming abuse.
Therapy is absolutely about talking through your problems, but that’s just the beginning. When you develop a relationship with a caring, attuned therapist you will find new ways to solve problems, heal old wounds, and change the way you live your life.
Working as a therapist and supporting hundreds of clients over the years has been an immense privilege. I have a deep passion for helping people through the emotional impact of life’s challenges such as relationship struggles, anxiety, the death of a loved one and Divorce/Separation. Therapy, in my experience has helped many people heal emotional wounds, reconnect with life and move forward towards a happier life. Sometimes we need one person to believe in us, even when we can't believe in ourselves. My clients have said that my sense of humour and warmth has made counselling far easier for them.
Please note that I work with adults. I am inclusive of everybody and fully support these communities: Bisexual allied, Body Positivity allied, Gay allied, Lesbian allied, Non-Binary allied, Queer allied, Racial Justice allied, Sex worker allied, Transgender allied and Vegan allied.

In my spare time I enjoy boxing, I train with an excellent coach that I can highly recommend - David Entwistle.
I love lifting heavy weights - it's great for your confidence just like boxing and so empowering!

Robert McCracken
Robert is an former director of a nationally recognised leisure business. After many successful years developing the business, a period of extreme stress led to serious health concerns . Having volunteered for charities such as MIND as a telephone and face to face counsellor, Robert took the decision to take a step back from the business world and has formalised his position as a counsellor. Robert is trained as an integrative therapist, which means that he is able to work in the way that is most suitable for his client. Robert generally describes his methodology as ”Humanistic with a Humouristic twist”.
Thrive is so happy to have Robert as part of the team, his compassion, acceptance and ability to 'see' people is beautiful.

Roxanne Checkley
Roxanne of Remedy is a body positive, age inclusive Holistic Therapist specialising in aromatherapy massage. Roxanne focuses on mental health just as much as physical wellbeing and seeks to create safe and meaningful relationships with clients to support them therapeutically. Treatments include full medical consultations, personalised routines and thoughtful aftercare advice. Roxanne has a background in counselling, support work and addiction recovery which all help her to have insight, understanding and unconditional positive regard towards her clients, facilitating their personal growth and empowerment.
As a Light Worker Roxanne's mission is to share the benefit of her experience in overcoming many challenges and to offer forbearance, kindness and healing touch.
Roxanne is qualified in Anatomy, Pathology & Physiology, Aromatherapy Massage, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Holistic Face Lift Massage and NCFE Counselling Skills.

Initial 30 minute phone assessment (no obligation) FREE
Young people & adults 16+ 60 minutes £50
Trainee counsellors/therapists 60 minutes £40
Low income/student 60 minutes £40

You may have some questions, most people do and if there is anything that you would like to ask that I don't have here please reach out.
Q. How long is a session?
Each session is one hour.
Q. I tried CBT and it didn't help me, what can I do?
CBT is just one of the techniques that we are able to use, there are many, many more and not every approach suits everybody. We tailor our approach to fit with who you are and what you need as an individual.
Q. What does a typical session look like?
It is very different for everyone. It begins with talking and us getting to know more about you. We go at your pace and don't 'pry' or 'force' you to talk about anything. Some people prefer a directed and structured approach with goals being set and other people prefer to talk and explore what comes out and bring dreams, spirituality or any other issues into the 'room'.
How long will I need therapy for?
For as many (or few) sessions as you feel suits you. There is no minimum number of sessions set by Thrive. Some people only need a few and others might be working for over a year. We review our work regularly to ensure that you are getting the best from sessions. Ultimately you are the expert on yourself!
